About 2014 Château Cana – Jardin Secret

  • Year: 2014
  • Grape variety: 100% Sobbaghieh
  • Fermentation: In stainless steel tanks
  • Maturing: 6 months in second use oak barrels of 225 Liters
  • Alcohol content: 14%
  • Serving temperature: 12-18°C
  • Altitude: The vines are located 900 meters above sea levels. They are hand picked and sorted on the spot.
  • Yield: The average yield per vine doesn’t exceed 2 kilograms. The majority of our vines stretch over ancient terraced slopes and enjoy 300 days of sunshine a year.
  • Talking points: Sobbaghie is a Lebanese grape.

Aromatic nose of wild black berries, jammy black plum, some toasty notes and liquorice. It develops toffee aromas and caramel after a few minutes.

PALATE: The start is fresh, juicy and fruity (blackberry, plum, some mulberry), then develops some spiciness and supple tannins.

The final is long, round and peppery.

TASTING NOTES: Ruby colour with fiery reflections. Exquisite varietal aroma over rich hints of leather and liquorice. Silky tannins on the palate and an elegant finish. Ideal with smoked cold cuts and sausages, poultry game, grilled and meat dishes.

Serve at 18∫ C.

Santa Cristina Toscana shows a ruby red colour with purple highlights.

On the nose, delicate notes of cherries and ripe red fruit, typical of Sangiovese and Syrah, mingle with the characteristic balsamic sensations of Merlot.

The palate is ample and supple and the finish and aftertaste are fruity.
