  • Fermentation: In stainless steel tanks
  • Maturing: 6 months in second use oak barrels of 225 Liters
  • Alcohol content: 14%
  • Serving temperature: 12-18°C
  • Altitude: The vines are located 900 meters above sea levels. They are hand picked and sorted on the spot.
  • Yield: The average yield per vine doesn’t exceed 2 kilograms. The majority of our vines stretch over ancient terraced slopes and enjoy 300 days of sunshine a year.
  • Talking points: Sobbaghie is a Lebanese grape.

Solandia Nero d'Avola, Nero d’Avola is a grape variety native to Sicily. With its dark, ripe-berried fruit and a hint of liquorice and vanilla spice, it shows a similarity in style to Shiraz. This wonderful red Wine from Solandia is grown in Sicilia. This wine is exclusive to Matthew Clark, you won't find it at multiple retailers. Available in 75cl bottles, supplied by GIV Grouppo Italiano Vini. Solandia Nero d'Avola, Terre Siciliane is a delighful wine, made from Nero D'Avola grapes. On the palate it shows mouth filling fruitiness and a long smooth finish. Matured for twelve months in French barrique and refined in our cellars for at least one year.

Color: Deep ruby red Bouquet: intense, wide, fragrant with plum compote and maraschino cherries with a hint of violets.

Taste: Dry, full-bodied, warm, soft and yet very firm with a pleasant background of dried fruit and roasted hazelnuts with a long finish.

Food Pairing: Red meats, mature cheeses.
