Casamigos Mezcal Joven is an artisanal, unaged (joven) mezcal made from 100% Espadín agave in Oaxaca, Mexico, known for its smoky and herbal profile.

Production Details

The mezcal is produced using traditional artisanal methods by a fourth-generation family of mezcaleros.

Agave: Made from 100% Espadín agave grown in Oaxaca.
Cooking: The agave piñas are split and slow-cooked for 4-6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic rocks, which imparts the signature smoky flavor.
Crushing: After cooling, the agave is crushed using a traditional horse-drawn stone tahona wheel.
Fermentation & Distillation: The mixture ferments for 6-8 days before being double-distilled in copper pot stills.
Proof: The final spirit is bottled at 80 proof (40% alcohol by volume).
