After a full maturation in first fill bourbon barrels we have reracked this single malt for 6 months into a Virgin Cask, built to our specifications with 36 month air dried American Oak. The light toast and light / medium char has enhanced our classic citrus and vanilla notes with incredible depth and complexity, adding notes of Chocolate orange, tropical fruit and soft spices.

Swing features an elevated amount of Speyside malts, balanced by malts from the northern Highlands and Islay. On the tongue it starts off a bit sweet and then the spicy notes take affect mid-palate which exposes the smoke and peat. It has a smooth lingering smoke and spice finish. The Macallan treated this 18 Year Old to not just one, but two cask content-types for its maturation, released as part of the Double Cask series! Another fantastic sherried single malt from the Speyside distillery!

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.

Palate: Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.

Finish: Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
