The Colonist Dark Rum – 70 cl

Smell: The aroma of rum is filled with tones of ripe bananas, notes of coconut cream and praline, the nuances of fallen leaves,

Taste: The taste of rum is dry, fruity, balanced and aromatic, depending on the serving temperature it can be moderate or full-bodied. The finish is long, spicy, revealing notes of tropical fruits, especially citrus fruits, tones of caramel and molasses, mineral nuances.

This is a white rum (with a slight shade of yellow to it) that is aged up to six years, then charcoal filtered to strip the color out. As delicate and delightful a white rum as you’re likely to find, the rum starts off with a heady amount of alcohol, masking sweet notes of coconut and a hint of lemon. The palate is on the sweet side (but not overly so), dosed with coconut, pineapple, and a kick of licorice on the back end. This gives the otherwise fairly straightforward rum a bit of a spicy kick, with just a hint of lime peel lingering on the back end. A worthy choice as your new house white rum for making daiquiris and mojitos. 94 proof

El Dorado 12-Year Rum is composed of a blend of aged rums, all at least 12 years old. The rums are distilled using a combination of stills including double wooden pot stills and are aged in bourbon oak casks.Demerara Distillers of Guyana produces El Dorado 12-year rum and is the country’s last remaining distillery, with origins tracing back to 1670. The name “”El Dorado”” references the legendary city of gold that is said to be in the country’s Rupununi region.

Biting into a freshly peeled Louisiana Satsuma is hard to beat! During the last Satsuma harvest in Louisiana, we started mixing this brilliant citrus juice with our Bayou Rum and the taste was so smooth and refreshing we decided to bottle it!

Captain Morgan Dark rum is a blend of five different rums from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados. The blended rum mixture is distilled in a two part process using both pot stills and continuous stills and then aged for 2 to 7 years in charred oak barrels.
