2015 Luce Brunello Di Montalcino (Limited Edition)

5 of the 77 hectares under vine on the Luce della Vite estate are officially listed in the Register for Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. These vines yield the fruit for Luce Brunello, the winery’s tribute to the noble wine that emerged in Montalcino in the second half of the 19th century and the first to obtain, in 1980, the status of DOCG. Luce Brunello wine thus continues solidly on the path of excellence inspired by the uniqueness of its territory of origin.

Tasting Notes: Appearing a deep and intense colour with light garnet hues. It offers a complex bouquet. Rich in notes that go from small black fruits and spices to tobacco and tea leaves. On the palate the wine confirms the same aromatic complexity.

Sensations: Very bright compact ruby.

The nose: is concentrated with notes of red fruits, mainly marasca cherry, ripe blood orange and spices.

On the palate: it is rich and enveloping, with a beautiful tension that enhances the perfectly integrated tannic texture. The finish is fascinating for its great sapidity and long persistence. A wine of extraordinary integrity, with great ageing potential.

Vinification: After the harvest, which took place at the end of September, the grapes fermented for 12 days in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 28 degrees. Maceration on the skins takes place for 4 weeks in order to fully develop the aromatic expression of this wine. The wine is then aged for 24 months in Slovenian oak barrels.

Grapes: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo FEATURES

Color: Deep ruby red Bouquet: intense, wide, fragrant with plum compote and maraschino cherries with a hint of violets.

Taste: Dry, full-bodied, warm, soft and yet very firm with a pleasant background of dried fruit and roasted hazelnuts with a long finish.

Bright pink color with an intense bouquet, fragrant with strong notes of fruit and hints of violet, delicate flavor with an attractive aftertaste of ripe cherries.

The grapes: 50% corvina; 30% rondinella; 10% molinara; 10% merlot from favoured sites in the Classico DOC zone, on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda.

The vinification: the grapes are picked when perfectly ripe; 70% is vinified by the rosé wine method with contact of the skins with the must for about 24 hours and the remainder by the white wine method without skin contact. The separate fermentation ensures an ideal balance between the aromas and flavours extracted from the skins. T
