A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot which combines immediate pleasantness and taste-olfactory complexity with a proven ageing potential.

"With its usual intense colour, Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2019 has a nose full of fresh notes of ripe red fruits, accompanied by a lively balsamic vein with aromatic hints of cypress and eucalyptus berries. The wine is soft and silky in the mouth, filling it with an elegant tannic texture and a sapid and persistent finish."

THE 2019 GROWING SEASON
More than most vintages, the year 2019 was characterised by a highly variable climate, which alternated periods of cold and rain with long bouts of drought and heat.
After a normal winter, the buding took place in the first week of April. The cold and rainy conditions throughout April and May significantly slowed down the vegetative vine growth, leading to a 10-day delay in flowering compared to the average. Very hot, rainless weather suddenly arrived in June, reaching temperature peaks of 37°C at the end of the month. The weather stayed warm and sunny throughout the summer with temperatures 2°C above average and 45 consecutive days without rain. The long dry period was interrupted by two days of rain in the last week of July, bringing the temperature back to the seasonal norm, with ideal conditions for ripening.
The harvest began slowly on 5th September. As usual, the last week of September saw a lowering of temperatures which made it possible to preserve a great finesse and aromatic freshness. Sunny conditions returned after another rainy event on the 21st September, which allowed us to conclude the harvest of the later ripening varieties on 4th October.

Santa Cristina Toscana shows a ruby red colour with purple highlights.

On the nose, delicate notes of cherries and ripe red fruit, typical of Sangiovese and Syrah, mingle with the characteristic balsamic sensations of Merlot.

The palate is ample and supple and the finish and aftertaste are fruity.

UMBRIA IGT- Santa Cristina Bianco is straw yellow in color.

On the nose intense fruity aromas of apricots, Golden apples and canned peaches blend with notes of candied fruit. Its palate is well-balanced, flavorful, fresh and supple with a fruity finish that brings back aromas perceived on the nose.

TASTING NOTES:

Nose: delicate aromas of flowers, citrus (yellow grapefruit, lime) and a mineral texture. Mouth: fresh attack, with good softness and a tasty and pleasant finish.

APPELLATION: Umbria.

GRAPES: Grechetto, procanico and viogner

PAIRING: as an appetizer with shrimp and zucchini pasta or a risotto of asparagus.

Aperol is an Italian aperitif. Aperitifs are dry rather than sweet alcoholic beverages, typically served before eating to help to stimulate an appetite. Its made of gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona, among other ingredients. It has a vibrant orange hue. Its name comes from the French slang word for aperitif, which is apero.

Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina is ruby red with purplish highlights.

On the nose it is complex with fruity notes of morello cherries, dried plums and hay. Its palate is soft, mouth filling with velvety tannins and a long savory finish.

Bright pink color with an intense bouquet, fragrant with strong notes of fruit and hints of violet, delicate flavor with an attractive aftertaste of ripe cherries.

The grapes: 50% corvina; 30% rondinella; 10% molinara; 10% merlot from favoured sites in the Classico DOC zone, on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda.

The vinification: the grapes are picked when perfectly ripe; 70% is vinified by the rosé wine method with contact of the skins with the must for about 24 hours and the remainder by the white wine method without skin contact. The separate fermentation ensures an ideal balance between the aromas and flavours extracted from the skins. T

he wine: bright pink colour; intense bouquet, fragrant with strong notes of fruit and hints of violet, delicate flavour with an attractive aftertaste of ripe cherries.
