The Assyrtiko of the Alpha Estate is made with pure grapes in the northwestern area of Macedonia.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed and the must remains in contact with the skins for 16 hours. Fermentation in steel and aging sur lies for 8 months follows.
Bright straw yellow in color with greenish reflections, it has hints of citrus fruits such as lemon and pulpy fruits such as green apple, peach, pear. Elegant on the palate thanks to a surprising creaminess, it enhances ripe fruit, giving minerality and a persistent finish.
Suitable for vegetarian first courses, risotto with scampi cream, shellfish and fried.
