Tasting's Notes: Golden amber with dark copper and mahogany highlights. Ground spice (black pepper, coriander) and red berries.

Rich fruit flavours: fig chutney and compote, almonds and walnuts.

This prestige cognac is rounded and fruity on the palate (notes of fig and walnut) followed by the characteristic power and finesse of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne. A long and silken finish.

This grape-based Eau de Vie is named after the Jezzignac area which is situated at mountain tops on the east ridge of the town of Jezzine. Distilling & Tasting Notes The indigenous grape varieties of Meksassi, Hifawi and Vaitamouni are the essence of this grape-based Eau de Vie. Fulfilling the 3,000-year-old tradition of distilling, this refined drink reflects the aromas and flavors of the impressive Jezzignac terroir. Triple-distillation using fresh Jezzine Spring Water coupled with ageing in oak barrels gives this drink its purity, aromas and diverse tastes. The maturity process does not stop in oak barrels but continues into glass jars for the required period mentioned on the bottle. On the nose, it displays the aromas of smoked wood, dried almonds and walnuts with a hint of marmalade and vanilla. The silky sensation upon tasting is derived from the long ageing process. Rémy Martin XO is the signature of our Cellar Master who with his expertise blends hundreds of eaux-de-vie. His art of blending allows us to express the full aromatic complexity of this XO Cognac Fine Champagne.

Eye: Dark amber.

Nose: A rather smooth XO, some rich aromas of jasmine, a velvet structure, fruity candy notes.

Palate: The heart is dominated by fig, and full prune, on the palate cinnamon and brioche. The finish lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Rémy Martin – VS was first created in 2007 by Pierrette Trichet, the first woman to be appointed Cellar Master to a major Cognac house. She chose only the highest quality grapes from the Petite Champagne, an important cru in the Cognac region. Rémy Martin – VS has aged for at least 2 years in oak casks made from the nearby Limousin forest. It can be enjoyed neat, on ice or even in long drinks with ginger ale.

Tesseron Lot 76 XO Tradition Cognac Four generations of savoir-faire have meant that the Tesseron estate in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente possess a truly fine Paradis cellar. They are one of the few Cognac houses that possess three grape varieties, giving them an edge over many producers.

The maître de chai creates a unique blend from the different grapes; blending with such expertise to give Cognacs such as the Lot 76 XO Cognac their own unique personality.

The lot number of a Tesseron Cognac is a good indication of the average year of distillation of such a fine elixir. As an Extra Old Cognac, the oldest eaux-de-vie of this Tesseron XO Lot 76 was distilled in 1976, and most of the eaux-de-vies have been aged for over a generation. Blended exceptionally from a selection of reserve stocks, this Grande Champagne Cognac has been aged to perfection. The Grande Champagne, also known as the Premier Cru, is renowned for its premium chalk soil and limestone subsoil, thanks to a maritime climate and millions of years of gradual fossilization. It is a unique terroir, with sloping hills catching the sunlight at the right time of day, and creating fine, floral eaux-de-vies from its Ugni-Blanc grape variety for the Tesseron Lot 76 Extra Old. Aged in Limousin French oak barrels in Chateauneuf-sur-Charente, this XO Cognac is a wonderful example of Tesseron’s fine expression of the Grande Champagne. The Tesseron philosophy for creating the Lot 76 XO Tradition Cognac Underneath the old church in the Tesseron Cellar, the Cognac house strive to age only Cognacs of “XO and beyond” quality.
