CapuCana means in the old brazilian language “the house of the sugarcanes” (Capu = house // Cana = sugarcane), and that’s because we distill our Handcrafted Cachaça in the heart of Brazil, in the oldest cachaçería (distillery) in the magic region of Piracicaba. In this area, you can find an outstanding terroir with clayey soild with an intensely red color that permits us to grow 25 different content-types of sugar canes (organic and non organic) in the three single states of CapuCana. For this reason, each variety of sugarcane gives a much more complex tasting notes to our cachaça, that then is aged for 3 years, and can be used in a wider range of cocktails and even enjoy CapuCana in its own.

The bouquet shows a medium to high aromatic intensity, with a first taste of fruity notes from sugar cane, reminiscent of pear, ripe banana and the light hints of honey. Secondly a memory cereals that give way to subtle aromas coming from the oak, with hints of sandalwood and spice appears soft.

The palate has a silky smooth taste with a medium alcohol creates a pleasant feeling savory sensation. Very good acidity balanced with sweet notes. Long, intense and complex.

Describing itself as 'the rum for bourbon drinkers. Bayou Select is copper pot distilled from Louisiana sugarcane and then aged in the Solera method for up to three years. The result is a creamy rum with a bourbon-esque character, accompanied by notes of cinnamon and maple. The Solera method involves a pyramid of stacked barrels. The oldest liquid is in the bottom layer of barrels, the youngest in the top. When a batch is harvested it is filled solely from some of the bottom layer, and those barrels are then topped up with rum from the layer resting on top of them. This second layer is, in turn, topped up with the contents of the third layer, and so on. This process is a way of naturally blending spirits for consistent taste and quality.

This is a white rum (with a slight shade of yellow to it) that is aged up to six years, then charcoal filtered to strip the color out. As delicate and delightful a white rum as you’re likely to find, the rum starts off with a heady amount of alcohol, masking sweet notes of coconut and a hint of lemon. The palate is on the sweet side (but not overly so), dosed with coconut, pineapple, and a kick of licorice on the back end. This gives the otherwise fairly straightforward rum a bit of a spicy kick, with just a hint of lime peel lingering on the back end. Captain Morgan Dark rum is a blend of five different rums from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados. The blended rum mixture is distilled in a two part process using both pot stills and continuous stills and then aged for 2 to 7 years in charred oak barrels.
