High Commissioner Whisky

At sight it presents a light amber color. On the nose it expresses itself with abundant fruity and sweet notes of berries, peach, pear and vanilla toffee. On the palate it is pleasantly peaty and slightly smoky, with a long, smooth and warming finish. Aged in American oak barrels.

Johnnie Walker XR was inspired by the hand-written blending notes of Sir Alexander Walker, the grandson of the legendary Johnnie Walker.

A luxurious blend from the exclusive reserve of aged casks, including that of the now quiet distillery of Brora. Aged for an extended period of 21 years this exceptional legacy blend is both warm and spicy to the palate with layers of complexity to suit the discerning whisky drinker.

Nose: Spiced apple, smoky oak and a little toasted brioche.

Palate: Herbal as it opens. This gives way to orange and lemon peels by the bucket-load, followed by another kick of smoky malt.

Finish: Wafts of Sherry-soaked raisins last and last.

Indulge all of your senses with a smooth glass of Johnnie Walker Double Black Label Blended Scotch Whisky. Strongly influenced by powerful and peaty West Coast and Islay Single Malts, the intensity is immediately apparent with the taste of smoke and smoldering spices. An impressive blended Scotch to share, whatever the occasion.

Simply mix with soda water, pour over ice and garnish with a lime wedge for a Highball cocktail.          Johnnie Walker was recognized as one of the world's top-trending Scotch whiskies at the 2020 Drinks International awards. The Johnnie Walker brand's extraordinary knowledge of Scotland’s malts and its deep desire to create well-balanced blends of island malt whiskies led to the whisky brand we have today. Each batch is then carefully matured to perfection in quality oak casks. As one of the biggest whisky brands in the world, Johnnie Walker embraces a rallying cry for optimism through adversity as it challenges the world to keep walking.

Please drink responsibly.

Johnnie Walker® Double Black Label™ is a scotch whisky with more Islay whisky compared to the original Black Label, and it has a more intense flavor and smoke character profile while preserving the original Johnnie Walker whisky style. It's a full-bodied drink with an alcohol concentration of 40%. Its aroma hints the smell of dry oak and light stony smoke. The orange zest and apples coupled with vanilla and spices bring freshness and softness to the tongue, giving it a generally sweet taste. Serve a measure of the Double Black Label whisky over ice cubes topped with a soft drink for a great cocktail.
