Sometimes the best things in life arise from coincidences. College dropout Raphael Yakoby was walking through Bloomingdale’s where he spotted a blue perfume. He was then inspired to create a blue liqueur – Hpnotiq.

As mesmerizing as its name suggest, it has quickly become a favourite among celebrities. The TV-channel NBC in New York called it ‘the drink of choice of celebrities’. R. Kelly is one of the brands big supporters, he features in Syleena Johnson’s song Hypnotic, named after the brand, as well as has Hpnotiq bottles in the music video of his hit song Hpnotiq.

A blend of premium French vodka, cognac, and tropical fruit juices, it is still surprisingly smooth and not too sweet.

You can enjoy this drink either with a shot or cognac or as an aperitif, by mixing it with champagne. Or why not find your own favourite?

Hennessy Cognac is crafted with a strict set of standards defined by the Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and handed down from generation to generation. However, when it comes to enjoying Cognac, we haven’t followed any rules since 1765. Hennessy has created extraordinary cognacs since 1765 and Hennessy Very Special represents the Tasting Committee’s unique expertise. Only the most distinctive eaux-de-vie are selected which are then carefully matured for several years in oak casks and skillfully blended to reveal their warm, full-bodied flavor. Negrita is a blended rum which is distilled on the French islands of Reunion, Guadeloupe, and Martinique in the Caribbean. It is made from sugar cane juice, not molasses

Medium sweet, medium acidic, honey melon notes, orange marmalade notes, hint of honey.

TASTE Mellow and sweet whites are medium-dry or even sweet. You can discern apricot, honeydew melon and floral notes in these wines. Residual sugar rounds up the flavour.

TIPS FOR USE These wines are all characterised by delicious, fruity sweetness, which means that they are excellent for socialising and a good match for Eastern dishes and vegetables. Try with Indian vegetable or chicken korma, shrimp and cheese quiche or black label Emmental.

HOW TO SERVE White wines are best served chilled, at 10–12°C. Chilling a bottle from room temperature to the perfect serving temperature takes about two hours in a fridge. The sweeter the wine, the cooler it can be served.

A bright pale yellow color with green highlights, with a stream of many fine bubbles. Intense with notes of  tropical fruits and citrus. Creamy and smooth, very pleasant and well balanced.
