Jura 10 Year Old – 70 cl

DA well-balanced entry in the Jura range, made up of both smoky and unpeated whisky matured in bourbon casks and finished in sherry, adding darker notes to the soft smoke and fresh fruit of the distillery's whisky.

NOSE: Proper Scottish porridge – a pinch of salt and rich oats – stirred through with a spoon of decadently sweet Strawberry jam and sprinkled with raisins.

PALATE: Creamy and chocolatey, with the porridge of the nose dusted with cocoa. Soft spice builds – cardamom and cinnamon – with rich hot chocolate and squashed raisins following.

FINISH: Fruity dark chocolate fades to reveal apple and a touch of liquorice.

Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Finish: Another wave of honey, with a soft hint of cinnamon spiciness.

One of the world's most popular blends, and the best-selling Scotch whisky in Scotland. Famous Grouse is a very nicely balanced, malty blend which was first made in 1896, and would go on to be known as The Famous Grouse, with the name registered in 1905. Around eighty years later, the company was awarded a Royal Warrant. The blend represents great value for money, and it also works beautiful in whisky-based cocktails. Delicious.

Made from the finest corn, rye, and barley malt these choice grains are mixed with the iron-free water that flows from the Cave Spring found on the distillery grounds. The initial aroma is strong with citrus and a hint of whiskey. The palate again reveals lots of orange character, and a moderate amount of honey. Has a rich, bourbon finish that plays on the tongue and ends with a final touch of honey.
