Swing features an elevated amount of Speyside malts, balanced by malts from the northern Highlands and Islay. On the tongue it starts off a bit sweet and then the spicy notes take affect mid-palate which exposes the smoke and peat. It has a smooth lingering smoke and spice finish. The result is a luxurious flavor that’s light in the foreground, with sweet mouth-watering depth developing on the palate.

A litre bottle of the classic deluxe blend that has stood the test of time. Based on Glenkinchie with traces of other more northerly distilleries, Dimple benefits from an extended marrying period. Rich, smooth and complex.

The standard release of Highland Queen blended Scotch whisky, named after Mary Queen of Scots. Like much of the range, it offers very good value for money.

Nose: Some dark honey, caramel, allspice, cooked apples and pear drops.

Palate: Crisp apples now, nougat, more honey, subtle vanilla, perhaps even some tarragon.

Finish: Clean and quite short.

It’s got the hot cinnamon taste you love, with just the right amount of smooth Kentucky Bourbon blended in. 70 Proof with a light copper color, Fire brings the heat and keeps it going all night long.

Tasting Note: Light copper in color with spiey cinnamon and melon aromas. Sweet honeyed cinnamon building in spiciness on the palate.

The Macallan treated this 18 Year Old to not just one, but two cask content-types for its maturation, released as part of the Double Cask series! Oloroso sherry was used to season a combination of both American and European oak casks, with the former imparting vanilla nuances while the latter brings that hallmark Macallan spice. Another fantastic sherried single malt from the Speyside distillery!

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.

Palate: Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.

Finish: Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
