Our Añejo Reserva is aged for a minimum of 12 months in a combination of French oak wine barrels, bourbon barrels, and sherry casks. We masterfully blend these tequilas to create a luxurious, round, and unique expression that highlights the rich chocolate and fruit flavors imparted by the sherry casks.

KOMOS CRAFTSMANSHIP

True to Komos’ craftsmanship, this expression is made in Mexico using perfectly ripe 100% Blue Weber Agave, hand-harvested from the distinct terroirs of both the highlands and lowlands of the Tequila Valley in Jalisco. The piñas are roasted in traditional stone ovens, and the aguamiel is naturally fermented and twice distilled in copper pot stills. After a year of aging and careful blending, the liquid takes on the rich chocolate and fruit flavors from the sherry casks. The final touch is gentle aeration: the winemaking technique of tumbling the liquid to take on oxygen to make the mouthfeel softer and smoother.

The iconic bottle is handmade by artisans and designed to be upcycled. The striking white ceramic evokes the beauty of the Mediterranean while preserving the aromas and flavors within it.

It is not aged in oak barrels and bottled immediately after distillation. Patrón tequilas are handcrafted at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico where people are the heart of the process - one that has remained the same since the very beginning. First, skilled jimadors uproot only the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave with the perfect sugar content and transport the heart of the plant to Hacienda Patrón. They’re then hand chopped, baked and crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone tahona wheel and a roller mill.

The agave is then fermented in pine oak tanks and distilled in small batches using copper stills. Each bottle of Patrón is a work of art, meticulously inspected, hand corked and signed.
