Metaxa 12 Stars is a blend of eau-de-vie aged for at least 12 years in oak barrels, muscat from the vineyards of Samos and various plants whose recipe is secretly kept.

Metaxa 12 Stars is made with the wine distillates in both medium and heavily toasted oak casks. The time spent in the heavily toasted casks brings out more pronounced oaky and smoky notes to the distillates and, ultimately, to the spirit.

This grape-based Eau de Vie is named after the Jezzignac area which is situated at mountain tops on the east ridge of the town of Jezzine. Distilling & Tasting Notes The indigenous grape varieties of Meksassi, Hifawi and Vaitamouni are the essence of this grape-based Eau de Vie. Fulfilling the 3,000-year-old tradition of distilling, this refined drink reflects the aromas and flavors of the impressive Jezzignac terroir. Triple-distillation using fresh Jezzine Spring Water coupled with ageing in oak barrels gives this drink its purity, aromas and diverse tastes. The maturity process does not stop in oak barrels but continues into glass jars for the required period mentioned on the bottle. On the nose, it displays the aromas of smoked wood, dried almonds and walnuts with a hint of marmalade and vanilla. The silky sensation upon tasting is derived from the long ageing process. Rémy Martin – VS was first created in 2007 by Pierrette Trichet, the first woman to be appointed Cellar Master to a major Cognac house. She chose only the highest quality grapes from the Petite Champagne, an important cru in the Cognac region. Rémy Martin – VS has aged for at least 2 years in oak casks made from the nearby Limousin forest. It can be enjoyed neat, on ice or even in long drinks with ginger ale.

Martell VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) is a cognac blended from old eaux-de-vie chosen from amongst the best crus in the Cognacregion. L'Or de Jean Martell is a blend of crus from the Les Borderies and Grande Champagne regions.

Tasting's Notes: Golden amber.

Bittersweet softness: lime and liquorice.

Crystallised fruit: quince, raisin and plum.

Spring undergrowth: fresh notes of oak wood (fine grain and hazelnut). Soft, mellow and complex with crystallised-fruit notes.

Martell VSOP Médaillon cognac has an ample, round body. Long finish.
