Origin is a New Zealand single malt whisky from Pokeno distillery. It’s made using local barley and matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks. So expect plenty of silky vanilla and balanced spice from this highly approachable whisky.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Warm fudge, allspice, black pepper, and a touch of lemon peel.

Palate: Big helpings of vanilla caramel, warm oak, cinnamon, and candied citrus.

Made from the finest corn, rye, and barley malt these choice grains are mixed with the iron-free water that flows from the Cave Spring found on the distillery grounds. From there Jack Daniel's is charcoal mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal which imparts our distinct smoothness. The Macallan treated this 18 Year Old to not just one, but two cask content-types for its maturation, released as part of the Double Cask series! Oloroso sherry was used to season a combination of both American and European oak casks, with the former imparting vanilla nuances while the latter brings that hallmark Macallan spice. Another fantastic sherried single malt from the Speyside distillery!

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.

Palate: Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.

Finish: Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
