Teacher’s was one of the first and believed to be one of the best blended Scotch whiskies. In order to achieve ‘perfection’, William Teacher used a high proportion of expensive single malts. This blend became Teacher’s Highland Cream and to this day, still contains the same high proportion of malt whisky. A malty and creamy whisky, rounded, smooth on the palate with an oaky and smoky finish.

Nose: Fruity, malty aromas. Just a hint of peat smoke with a good dollop of gooey toffee.

Palate: Soft smoke, barley malt and manuka honey. Hints of Malt-driven palate with soft spices.

Finish: Malt and smoke on the finish. Classic.

Chivas Regal 12 Year Whisky is a blend of many different malt and grain Scotch whiskies, matured for at least 12 years. This rich, smooth blend balances style with substance and tradition with a modern twist.

Color: Radiant, warm amber. Nose: An aromatic infusion of wild herbs, heather, honey and orchard fruits.

Taste: Rich and fruity, Chivas bursts with the smooth taste of ripe, honeyed apples, and notes of vanilla, hazelnut and butterscotch.

The standard release of Highland Queen blended Scotch whisky, named after Mary Queen of Scots. Like much of the range, it offers very good value for money.

Nose: Some dark honey, caramel, allspice, cooked apples and pear drops.

Palate: Crisp apples now, nougat, more honey, subtle vanilla, perhaps even some tarragon.

Finish: Clean and quite short.
