XX is the Roman numeral for twenty, in this case twenty carefully selected batches of old, (mostly twenty year old) rare malt whiskies were chosen by twenty of the worlds most gifted Malt Masters. They were invited to meticulously taste every rare barrel of whisky within the cavernous Conval warehouse at Glenfiddich (located in the famous Speyside whisky region of Scotland) and select their favourites for inclusion in the top-secret Project XX. The result is nothing short of mesmerising. The colour is burnished celtic gold, the aroma, wild apple blossom and candy floss, organic vanilla pod and cinnamon bun, the taste, sweet summer fruits, wild Scottish honey and homemade toffee.
