Originally from Brazil, Cachaça AGUACANA comes exclusively from the distillation of pure fermented cane juice from sunny plantations in the Pernambuco region. Enhancing this ‘Spirit’ are fruity, slightly lemony aromas leading to a dry, fruity, caramelised feel in the mouth. It draws its success from its simplicity and the famous trendy cocktail, the ‘Caipirinha’. Perfectly balanced and with a pronounced taste of sugar cane, the AGUACANA cachaça sublimates the Caïpirinha by revealing all its character associated with lime.

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum is made using a blend of Caribbean Rums as well as spices that have been added. It is created by The Rum & Crab Shack in St. Ives, which serves fresh sea food with Rum! This particular drink is produced around the brilliant, tropical flavour of Coconuts, which can be enjoyed neat, or mixed in various drinks!

Captain Morgan Dark rum is a blend of five different rums from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados. The blended rum mixture is distilled in a two part process using both pot stills and continuous stills and then aged for 2 to 7 years in charred oak barrels.

This is a dark rum (and a fairly dusky one at that. Aged up to eight years, it’s got some coffee, cinnamon, and cloves on the nose — along with some raisin notes. Quite savory on the tongue — those bitching about Exclusiva being too sweet can check this out — the coffee notes filter down to dusky charcoal, barrel char, some raisin, and a bit of dark chocolate. Sugar is almost an afterthought here. If you like your rum chewy and filtered through the dank haze of wood, this is your jam. For me though, it’s a bit one-note. 80 proof

Describing itself as 'the rum for bourbon drinkers. Bayou Select is copper pot distilled from Louisiana sugarcane and then aged in the Solera method for up to three years. The result is a creamy rum with a bourbon-esque character, accompanied by notes of cinnamon and maple. The Solera method involves a pyramid of stacked barrels. The oldest liquid is in the bottom layer of barrels, the youngest in the top. When a batch is harvested it is filled solely from some of the bottom layer, and those barrels are then topped up with rum from the layer resting on top of them. This second layer is, in turn, topped up with the contents of the third layer, and so on. This process is a way of naturally blending spirits for consistent taste and quality.
