The story of Ching Shih Dark Spiced is rooted in the fascinating history of Ching Shih herself. Ching Shi was a legendary pirate active in the South China Sea in the 19th century. She was known for her exceptional leadership qualities and powerful fleet of hundreds of ships and tens of thousands of pirates. The Pirate Queen’s legacy as one of the most successful has inspired the creation of Ching Shih Dark Spiced, which captures the essence of her strength and power.

The rum is aged in French and American oak and sherry casks. This aging gives the spirit added depth and complexity, allowing the flavors to develop and mature over time.

Gastronomic combinations: a unique combination of rum flavors, including ginger, Sichuan pepper and other herbal components, gives a unique touch to classic cocktail recipes. This is a white rum (with a slight shade of yellow to it) that is aged up to six years, then charcoal filtered to strip the color out.
