Four Roses Single Barrel is a highly acclaimed, premium Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at 50% ABV (100 Proof). Hand-selected by the Master Distiller, this flagship expression is celebrated for its rich, high-rye flavor profile and exceptional smoothness.

Unlike blended bourbons, each bottle is drawn from a single, specific cask, making every barrel uniquely distinct. The classic retail release features their signature OBSV recipe.

Key Specifications

Mash Bill: High-rye content consisting of 60% corn, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley.
Yeast Strain: “V” strain, which develops delicate, light fruit and floral characteristics.
Aging: Matured for 7 to 9 years in newly charred white American oak barrels.
Yield: Each individual barrel yields approximately 248 hand-filled bottles.
Traceability: Every label features hand-written details indicating the exact warehouse number and barrel location.

Taining Notes

Nose: Layered aromas of dried spices, pear, cacao, vanilla, and maple syrup, accompanied by light floral and oaky undertones.
Palate: Full-bodied and robust. Robust bursts of heavy rye spice balanced by sweet hints of ripe plums, cherries, brown sugar, and dark chocolate.
Finish: Smooth, warm, and delicately long with lingering notes of cinnamon, charred oak, and a slight touch of mint.

Serving Suggestions

This expression is widely recognized by enthusiasts as a premier sipping bourbon. It is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to fully bloom the sweeter caramel and dark fruit notes. Due to its robust 100-proof strength, it also serves as an excellent, flavor-forward base for classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned.
