The wine is produced from Spanish grape varieties and then gets its deep electric color by the addition of anthyocyacin, a natural pigment extracted from the grape peel and the bacon, a natural pigment derived from the egg plant. The Senorio de Arinzano estate has been recognized for the excellence of its vineyards since the 11th century, when the noble Sancho Fortunones de Arinzano first produced wines on the property.

Today, the magnificent estate, designed by renowned Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, provides the inspiration for a new brand identity for the Arinzano Estate. It stands out based on the uniqueness of the terroir, its history, art and environment, and the exceptional potential to give life to wines that would be a reference of the highest quality and singular character. The most advanced and careful techniques are used to guarantee an artisanal treatment through the whole winemaking process, and we pursue a viticulture that not only respects, but actually favors the natural environment.

As a result, Arinzano is one of the few estates in all of Spain to be recognized with Pago status, and the first Pago in the North of Spain.

Tasting Notes

Deep, garnet color. Intense aromas of black fruits. Predominantly mineral and dark red fruit notes –wood, China ink-, Stone and smoke hints. Ample power, pleasant and velvety in the mouth. Tasty and dense evolution. Very long persistence.

Food Paring: Pairs well with earthy red meats like fillet and lamb chops.
