Glenfiddich 15 Year Old – 70 cl

Immensely popular Glenfiddich variant. Using a Solera system common in the maturation of quality sherry, 15yo malt from three different content-types of casks is married together in a wooden vat, which is constantly topped up to ensure the quality is maintained.

COLOUR: Golden, a red hue.

NOSE: An intriguingly complex aroma. Sweet heather honey and vanilla fudge combined with rich dark fruits.

TASTE: Silky smooth, revealing layers of sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger. Full-bodied and bursting with flavour.

FINISH: Satisfyingly rich with lingering sweetness.

Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Sherry-seasoned American wood adds faint vanilla to the modest spice of European oak, resulting in a whisky with a sweeter, warmer flavour and character.Within one superb single malt whisky, two unique oaks produce the perfect equilibrium of flavours. The Double Cask whiskies are aged in two different content-types of oak, in hand-crafted casks that have been seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. Tasting Notes: On the nose, butterscotch and plump raisin, with spiced apple crumble and oak spice.

On the palate, dried fruits galore, with a dusting of cinnamon, candied ginger and orange peel. More warming ginger alongside a drizzle of honey and buttery caramel on the finish.
