Johnnie Walker Island Green is a no-age-statement (NAS) blended malt Scotch whisky originally introduced in 2016 as a Travel Retail Exclusive. It serves as a more intense, heavily peated reinterpretation of the classic Johnnie Walker Green Label. Unlike standard blends that combine malt and grain whiskies, Island Green is made exclusively from 100% single malts.

• Caol Ila (Islay): The dominant component, providing robust coastal smoke, tar, and peat.
• Clynelish (Highlands): Adds a distinct waxy depth and fruity richness.
• Cardhu (Speyside): Infuses sweet, fragrant orchard fruits and toasted wood notes.
• Glenkinchie (Lowland): Delivers a light, floral freshness and subtle peppery spice.

• ABV: 43%.
• Nose: Prominent wood smoke, wet earth, and coastal peat mixed with black pepper, vanilla, and sweet orange peel.
• Palate: Full-bodied with a somewhat waxy texture. Waves of ash, campfire smoke, and seaweed are balanced by background notes of caramel fudge, malt, and milk chocolate.
• Finish: Medium to long, tapering into dry ash, warming oak, and a lingering touch of sweet orchard fruit.

• Age Statement: Green Label carries a 15-year age statement, whereas Island Green is an NAS expression.
• Flavor Profile: Standard Green Label focuses on balance and cereal sweetness with a lighter touch of Talisker smoke. Island Green dramatically increases the Islay (Caol Ila) influence, making it much more intensely smoky, maritime, and medicinal.

Nose: Honey and heather with thick caramel notes and a subtle nutmeg spice. Dried meadow flowers and a hint of fresh banana.

Palate: Smooth and succulent with a honeyed sweetness that's typical of Johnnie Walker. There's more to this though, the floral elements are quite prominent and there's a spiced sweet vanilla note too.

Finish: Long, sweet and toffee-like.

Overall: A typically easy drinking blend from Johnnie Walker, this will not disappoint fans of the style.
