Matusalem Rum 23 Gran Reserva – 70 cl

This is Matusalem's premium expression of Solera aged rum, the 23 Gran Reserva. The company was once based in Cuba, but have since moved to the Dominican Republic. They Solera age the majority of their rum to ensure their characteristic flavour remains the same from bottle to bottle. Which is good, because it's rather tasty indeed.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh honey and golden syrup. Crunchy almonds. Cedar wood.
Palate: Creamy and rich, with plenty of fruit joining the sweet, sugary notes.
Finish: Spiced and lasting on the finish.

A clear, sweet rum with a distinct and zippy taste. A light rum distilled in continuous feed colums, this is an excellent rum for cocktails.
