Since we arrived in Chile in 1979, we have begun interesting wine experiments with different varieties. One of them, Syrah, did not seem to find the best habitat in Curicó, so, after some years, we took it to Linares, 140 kilometers to the south. There, in poor, well-drained soils, the Syrah vines produce small but excellent harvests. Appreciate the intense purplish color and the aroma with notes of small black fruits, violet, and redcurrant.
The aging in French oak provides underlying flavors of vanilla and smooth toasted notes.
Pairing: Meat, Pasta Dishes, Sushi
