Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition must be aged in new oak barrels, the US1 Unblended American Whiskey is aged in a way that utilizes whiskey-soaked barrels to achieve a rich and unique flavor profile. In late 2013, then Master Distiller Willie Pratt agreed to re-release our US1 Unblended American Whiskey after a nearly three-year absence from the market, deeming it “just right” and “the best it’s ever been.” Crucially, the US1 Unblended American Whiskey never contains grain neutral spirits – hence its “unblended” distinction.

Tasting Notes

Deep butterscotch and vanilla notes, hints of caramel and dried fruit, with notes of ripened fruit at the finish.

ABV: 41.7%

Featuring Louisiana grown ingredients, this special gumbo of spices creates a unique and satisfying blend that makes it the perfect rum for mixing. Describing itself as 'the rum for bourbon drinkers. Bayou Select is copper pot distilled from Louisiana sugarcane and then aged in the Solera method for up to three years. The result is a creamy rum with a bourbon-esque character, accompanied by notes of cinnamon and maple. The Solera method involves a pyramid of stacked barrels. The oldest liquid is in the bottom layer of barrels, the youngest in the top. When a batch is harvested it is filled solely from some of the bottom layer, and those barrels are then topped up with rum from the layer resting on top of them. This second layer is, in turn, topped up with the contents of the third layer, and so on. This process is a way of naturally blending spirits for consistent taste and quality.

A premium version of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, Gentleman Jack exhibits impressive complexity and flavour. The main difference is that it enjoys a 'double mellowing' as it's filtered through charcoal both before being filled into the barrel (the Lincoln County Process) and before it's bottled. Jameson Irish Whiskey boasts a perfectly balanced flavor profile with spicy, nutty and sweet notes.

The nose is lightly floral and peppered with spice, making this one of the most broadly appealing whiskeys on the market. Enjoy it straight, on the rocks, with a bit of water or mixed with club soda, ginger ale or in cocktails. With Jameson's classic concoction, the possibilities for enjoying a true Irish tradition are endless!
