Blanka Arak | Mediterranean Blue – 100 cl

Arak Blanka "Masterpiece" Mediterranean Blue is an ultra-premium, artisanal Lebanese arak produced by the Bejjani family in the Bekaa Valley (Zahle / Al Forzol). It is highly distinguished by its luxury presentation, encased in a handcrafted, collectible porcelain vessel finished in a vibrant Mediterranean Blue color.

• Ingredients & Origin: Made from a special blend of indigenous Lebanese white grapes (Merwah and Obeidi) grown at high elevations (950–1500 meters) in clay and limestone soil. It is flavored using premium-grade Heena aniseeds.
• Production Method: Triple-distilled traditionally in authentic copper stills. Following distillation, the spirit is matured and aged for 24 months in specialized clay jars to soften its character and enhance complexity. 
• Flavor Profile: Velvet, balsamic, and deeply aromatic. It leads with clean, precise aniseed and liquorice, revealing herbal undertones of fennel and plants, finishing long and warm without any harsh alcoholic burn. The producer emphasizes that it is a methanol-free distillation, eliminating common side effects like headaches or dry throats.
• Alcohol by Volume (ABV): Typically bottled at a potent 70% ABV.

• The Traditional Pour: Serve by mixing one part arak to two parts cold water, and always add ice last so the ice never directly touches the neat spirit. It should cloud over beautifully into a milky white ("louched") color.
• Glassware: Serve in small, fresh glasses alongside food.
• Food Pairings: Pairs elegantly with traditional Levantine Mezze, grilled meats, seafood, salads, spicy stews, rack of lamb, and carpaccio.

Said Touma came from a family with a long history in the alcohol business and founded Clos St. Thomas in 1997. The winery was named after the chapel of St. Thomas, found in the heart of the vineyards.

Arak Touma is distilled four times using a variety of grapes and quality aniseed.

Arak Kefraya is a white Anise liqueur.

Its process goes through 4 distillations and is made by Chateau Kefraya.

And it is the best fresh anise traditionally from Lebanon, it can be enjoyed as an aperitif with water and ice cubes.

Winemaking: The grapes are manually harvested, totally stemmed and transferred to tank in order to achieve the alcoholic fermentation. The Cinsault is shortly vatted to keep the freshness, the Syrah and Mourvedre are kept for a longer time to extract the aroma and spices, and the Cabernet-Sauvignon undergoes long skin contact to express length and elegance. The free flowing and press wine achieve the malolactic fermentation in different vats.

Maturing: The grape varietals are matured separately in vats for 14 to 18 months before being blended, fined and bottled. Taste: Its bright intense ruby red colour, with an exotic fruity aroma along with spicy and licorice notes make it a wine to remember. The mellow and supple tannins produce a persisting length on the Palate Ageing It can be drunk upon purchase or kept for 2 to 3 years in a good cellar.
