The Château La Tour Carnet 2016 is a Bordeaux blend from the Haut-Médoc region, characterized by ripe black fruit and spice aromas and a velvety, full-bodied palate with well-integrated tannins. It is a Fourth Growth, or Quatrième Grand Cru Classé, from the 1855 classification and can be aged for a long time. The 2016 vintage has been praised for its ripeness and freshness, along with notes of black cherry, licorice, and tobacco.

Wine characteristics

Color: Deep garnet with hints of mahogany and a touch of ruby.
Aromas: A complex bouquet of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, plum, licorice, and tobacco, with spicy notes of cinnamon and roasted hints of charred wood.
Palate: Generous, with a velvety texture and fine, well-integrated tannins. It has ripe fruit flavors and a long, balanced finish.
Grape Blend: 60% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc.
