A 12-year-old Speyside single malt from bottler John Crabbie & Co, made at an undisclosed distillery and matured in specially-selected bourbon barrels. Aromas of green apples, soft spice, sugar-roasted nuts and sweet vanilla fill the nose, complemented by notes of juicy pears, apples, orange zest, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla throughout the palate.

The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old is a well-balanced single malt whisky made by combining the ideal harmony of two oak casks into a single superb whisky. Sherry-seasoned American wood adds faint vanilla to the modest spice of European oak, resulting in a whisky with a sweeter, warmer flavour and character.Within one superb single malt whisky, two unique oaks produce the perfect equilibrium of flavours. The Double Cask whiskies are aged in two different content-types of oak, in hand-crafted casks that have been seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. The Macallan's unmistakable delicate spice comes from European oak. These two superb whiskies combine after 15 years to create a distinct single malt with a sweeter, warmer flavour and character.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, butterscotch and plump raisin, with spiced apple crumble and oak spice.

On the palate, dried fruits galore, with a dusting of cinnamon, candied ginger and orange peel. More warming ginger alongside a drizzle of honey and buttery caramel on the finish.

The initial aroma is strong with citrus and a hint of whiskey. The palate again reveals lots of orange character, and a moderate amount of honey. Has a rich, bourbon finish that plays on the tongue and ends with a final touch of honey.

The standard release of Highland Queen blended Scotch whisky, named after Mary Queen of Scots. Like much of the range, it offers very good value for money.

Nose: Some dark honey, caramel, allspice, cooked apples and pear drops.

Palate: Crisp apples now, nougat, more honey, subtle vanilla, perhaps even some tarragon.

Finish: Clean and quite short.

Swing features an elevated amount of Speyside malts, balanced by malts from the northern Highlands and Islay. On the tongue it starts off a bit sweet and then the spicy notes take affect mid-palate which exposes the smoke and peat. It has a smooth lingering smoke and spice finish. The result is a luxurious flavor that's light in the foreground, with sweet mouth-watering depth developing on the palate.
