Key Characteristics

• Unique Ingredients: It is crafted from a mash of malted Irish barley, unmalted Irish barley, and Irish Barra oats, which provides a signature creamy texture.
• Triple Distilled: Like many traditional Irish whiskeys, it is triple distilled in copper pot stills.
• Maturation: It is aged for at least five years in a combination of Kentucky Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso casks.
• Bottling Details: Typically bottled at 43% ABV with no added coloring and no chill filtration. 

Tasting Notes

Nose:  Rich vanilla, honey, toasted nuts, and dried fruit with hints of aromatic pot spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and creamy with flavors of winter spices, fig, dark chocolate, and toasted oak.

Finish: Elegant and lingering with a creamy mouthfeel and a touch of sweetness from the sherry casks.

Color: Radiant, warm amber. Nose: An aromatic infusion of wild herbs, heather, honey and orchard fruits.

Taste: Rich and fruity, Chivas bursts with the smooth taste of ripe, honeyed apples, and notes of vanilla, hazelnut and butterscotch.

Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Nose: Some dark honey, caramel, allspice, cooked apples and pear drops.

Palate: Crisp apples now, nougat, more honey, subtle vanilla, perhaps even some tarragon.
