Key Characteristics

• Unique Ingredients: It is crafted from a mash of malted Irish barley, unmalted Irish barley, and Irish Barra oats, which provides a signature creamy texture.
• Triple Distilled: Like many traditional Irish whiskeys, it is triple distilled in copper pot stills.
• Maturation: It is aged for at least five years in a combination of Kentucky Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso casks.
• Bottling Details: Typically bottled at 43% ABV with no added coloring and no chill filtration. 

Tasting Notes

Nose:  Rich vanilla, honey, toasted nuts, and dried fruit with hints of aromatic pot spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and creamy with flavors of winter spices, fig, dark chocolate, and toasted oak.

Finish: Elegant and lingering with a creamy mouthfeel and a touch of sweetness from the sherry casks.

Evan Williams Black Label is medium amber in color.

The nose: is light with deep vanilla and mint.

On tasting: there are notes of honey, brown sugar and caramel, with a medium to long finish!

Nose: Honey and heather with thick caramel notes and a subtle nutmeg spice. Dried meadow flowers and a hint of fresh banana.

Palate: Smooth and succulent with a honeyed sweetness that's typical of Johnnie Walker. There's more to this though, the floral elements are quite prominent and there's a spiced sweet vanilla note too.

Finish: Long, sweet and toffee-like.

Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Carefully created by master blender Jim Beveridge, this expression packs bags of creamy vanilla, vibrant fruit and runny honey, alongside soft wisps of smoke.  Back in the days of yore and yonder, this was known as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.

Nose: Honeyed cereals, Cadbury's Fruit and Nut, distant bonfire smoke, clementine and spring blossom.

Palate: Peanut brittle, candied peels, plump sultana, a whisper of floral malt gives it an aromatic mid-palate, before giving way to a whisper of dry, earthy smoke.

Finish: Another wave of honey, with a soft hint of cinnamon spiciness.

The initial aroma is strong with citrus and a hint of whiskey. The palate again reveals lots of orange character, and a moderate amount of honey. Has a rich, bourbon finish that plays on the tongue and ends with a final touch of honey.
