Eight Islands Spiced Caribbean Rum – 70 cl

The Eight Islands Spiced is a blend of rums from eight different Caribbean islands. The maturing takes place in Irish whiskey casks, in Cork, Ireland, after which this spirit is refined with Irish tobacco. The Eight Islands Spiced is produced by West Cork Distillers.

Tasting notes:

• Colour: dark amber.
• Nose: Intense, spicy, exotic spices, oak, vanilla.
• Taste: Soft, exotic, tobacco, vanilla, citrus.
• Finish: Long lasting, tart.

This rum is one of a kind, this incredible spirit is infused with arabica coffee beans, smoked with burnt wood chips and left to rest in oak barrels for 3 years to produce a natural toasted oak flavour! A great alternative for you peated bourbon lovers.

The Smoked Rum Process - Adding real american oak chips in the furnace, released their sweet, vanilla aromas; to this they add their 3 years old Jamaican Rum while condensing all the flavours together. The rum is filtered to remove any harmful chemicals it may have picked up from the smoking process. Then the beautifully strong smoked rum is blended with flavoured rum which has been infused with coffee beans and natural tobacco extract. It is then added into barrels where its left to mature and balance before bottling it into the liquid gold in our glasses. Absolute Genius!!

When ordering, make sure to only ask for measurements in fingers like the cool people in films do. "Three fingers of Dead Man's Fingers please, barkeeper!"

Tasting Note :Pineapple, Seville orange, dried raisins dusted with cinnamon and black pepper. A touch of creamy vanilla develops later on.

A deep mahogany complexion with a stone fruit, plum and sandalwood on the nose, this complex spirit delivers orange marmalade and dark stone fruit with bursts of black currant and tupelo honey. Rounding out with a long, rich touch of smoke this 6 year old spirit lingers like the early morning mist that can only come from the Delta of Louisiana.

NOSE: Slightly floral mixed with cedar wood, tobacco and dried dark fruit

PROFILE: Multi-layered and complex with hints of tobacco, prune and oak along with slight sweetness reminiscent of tupelo honey
