A sherried Glenfiddich originally released for the distillery's travel exclusive Perpetual collection, this single malt was aged in Spanish Sherry casks.

Intriguingly, only half the whisky in the vat is bottled before it's refilled with fresh spirits, in the style of classic Spanish sherry soleras, meaning there is always a well-balanced mix of well-aged and young whisky.

Nose: Polished leather, freshly-baked fruitcake, bittersweet marmalade, and toasted oak.

Palate: Silky, sweet, and spicy, with peppery fresh oak, cigar box, and well-toasted bread.

Finish: Candied peels, treacle, and a good whack of cinnamon.

The standard release of Highland Queen blended Scotch whisky, named after Mary Queen of Scots. Like much of the range, it offers very good value for money.

Nose: Some dark honey, caramel, allspice, cooked apples and pear drops.

Palate: Crisp apples now, nougat, more honey, subtle vanilla, perhaps even some tarragon.

Finish: Clean and quite short.

Nose: Honey and heather with thick caramel notes and a subtle nutmeg spice. Dried meadow flowers and a hint of fresh banana.

Palate: Smooth and succulent with a honeyed sweetness that's typical of Johnnie Walker. There's more to this though, the floral elements are quite prominent and there's a spiced sweet vanilla note too.

Finish: Long, sweet and toffee-like.

Overall: A typically easy drinking blend from Johnnie Walker, this will not disappoint fans of the style.

Swing features an elevated amount of Speyside malts, balanced by malts from the northern Highlands and Islay. On the tongue it starts off a bit sweet and then the spicy notes take affect mid-palate which exposes the smoke and peat. It has a smooth lingering smoke and spice finish. The result is a luxurious flavor that's light in the foreground, with sweet mouth-watering depth developing on the palate.
