im Beam Black is a premium Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey that serves as a richer, more deeply matured upgrade to the standard Jim Beam White Label. After undergoing a major formula and packaging relaunch, the bottle officially features a 7-year age statement and a proof bump to 90 proof (43% ABV), moving away from its previous non-age-stated “Extra-Aged” version.

Flavor Profile & Tasting Notes

The extra time in American white oak barrels gives Jim Beam Black a significantly more full-bodied profile while keeping the signature “Beam nuttiness”.

Nose: Dominant aromas of toasted oak, brown sugar, caramel, and vanilla, balanced by a distinct note of salted peanuts or almond butter.
Palate: A medium-bodied, creamy texture featuring rich baking spices, cinnamon, warm oak tannins, dark honey, and hints of dark fruits or orange peel.
Finish: Moderately long and warming, leaning dry with lingering notes of barrel char, white pepper, and vanilla-nougat sweetness.

The standard mash bill for this bourbon consists of 76% Corn, 13% Rye, and 11% Malted Barley.
