KWV Annabelle Cuvee Blanche

This semi-sweet bubbly with has an abundance of floral muscat aromas and tropical fruit flavours such as litchis, pineapples and peaches. 

Elegant perfumes of strawberries and citrus lead to an attractive palate with mixed berry fruits that linger on the finish. This wine is wonderful on its own, and pairs well with savory appetizers, complex seafood dishes and anything spicy. The elegant mousse will refresh your palate for the next bite and contrasting the bubbles with something soft or creamy can elevate your next meal. Open a bottle along with goat cheese souffle, scallops with roasted garlic and pesto, or a slow-cooked spicy red chicken curry. Blend: 55% Chardonnay, 40% Glera and 5% Malbec

Baron D'Arignac is a great companion of the best moments in people's lives. A great, inexpensive alternative to champagne. This sparkler has fine bubbles, a good mousse and crisp, spritzing acidity on the palate. A good aperitif.

Colour: Purple red with brown tinges Bouquet Pungent aromas of of mint, cloves and wild flowers are intertwined with with blackcurrant, a touch of mint and elegant and lingering nutty oak.

Palate :Elegant but chewy tannins allow for this wine drinking well now it will benefit from cellaring for a few years. A wonderful balance of oak, cassis and cherry reminders.

The wine was made reductively to prevent any oxidation and to ensure that the natural flavours of the grapes could be retained. Fermentation happened slowly in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 18 days. Full-bodied with powerful varietal flavours of bell-pepper, green apple, and freshly cut grass. Good structure with lovely balancing acidity.

The wine was left on the lees for 80 days to add complexity. Twenty percent of the wine was matured on French oak for 6 months. The balance of the fresh citrus fruits and rich melon characters give the wine a full rounded palate that combines well with the subtle creaminess and nuttiness of the gentle oak. The natural acidity follows through to a fresh and clean finish.
