Laphroaig Quarter Cask – 70 cl

Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky celebrated for its double maturation process, which combines the distillery’s signature medicinal peat smoke with an accelerated oak influence. Initially aged in standard ex-bourbon barrels, the spirit is transferred to smaller quarter casks for its final months. These smaller vessels provide up to 30% more wood-to-liquid contact, rounding out the spirit with a distinct vanilla sweetness and dynamic wood spice.

• Nose: Intense smoldering peat, sea salt, and medicinal iodine, balanced by creamy toffee, vanilla, and subtle hints of green apple or citrus. 
• Palate: Full-bodied and velvety. Initial notes of sweet vanilla cream, honey, and buttery caramel quickly give way to a powerful rush of ashy peat smoke, black pepper, and charred oak.
• Finish: Long, warming, and drying. It leaves lingering notes of tobacco ash, sweet malt biscuits, and spice.

Nose: Spiced apple, smoky oak and a little toasted brioche.

Palate: Herbal as it opens. This gives way to orange and lemon peels by the bucket-load, followed by another kick of smoky malt.
