West Cork Irish Stout Cask Matured Blended Irish Whiskey is made from a delicate blend of grain (75%) and malt (25%) whiskey. It is aged in first fill bourbon casks and then finished in casks that had held Black’s of Kinsale Stout which gives an aroma of chocolate, raisins and cracked nuts and a taste of dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. This uniquely Irish whiskey is also blended and bottled at 40%.

Aroma: An aroma of chocolate, raisins and cracked nuts.

Taste: Dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla.

West Cork Irish Stout Cask Matured Blended Irish Whiskey is made from a delicate blend of grain (75%) and malt (25%) whiskey. It is aged in first fill bourbon casks and then finished in casks that had held Black’s of Kinsale Stout which gives an aroma of chocolate, raisins and cracked nuts and a taste of dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The standard release of Highland Queen blended Scotch whisky, named after Mary Queen of Scots. Like much of the range, it offers very good value for money.

Nose: Some dark honey, caramel, allspice, cooked apples and pear drops.

Palate: Crisp apples now, nougat, more honey, subtle vanilla, perhaps even some tarragon.

Finish: Clean and quite short.
