Made from its own special recipe, ANGOSTURA® orange bitters is a complex blend of tropical oranges and spices. “The soul of an exceptional dry martini”; it is wonderfully versatile and pairs perfectly with vodka, gin and whisky. Produced in Trinidad, the liqueur is obtained from spices, herbal extracts, natural herbs, orange peel, bitter and aromatic substances.

Angostura Aromatic Bitters History

It owes its invention to the MD, Johann Siegert, native of Germany, who left his homeland in 1820, attracted by the scent of adventure. He went to Venezuela to join the Simon Bolivar Liberation Army, the founder of the State of Bolivia, in its fight against the Spanish throne. Dr. Siegert was treating soldiers with fever and severe intestinal problems.
