La Pevera Rosso Toscana

La Pevera Rosso Toscana 2018 is a bold, structured "Super Tuscan" red wine produced by Geografico (Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico). The name "La Pevera" refers to the traditional wooden funnel once used in Chianti to pour wine into oak.

• Blend: A combination of 50% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah.

• Aging: The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak tonneaux after a period in concrete vats.

• Alcohol Content: Typically 14% ABV.

• Tasting Notes:

  • Aroma: Expect an elegant nose featuring ripe blackberries, figs, elderberries, and hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, and gingerbread.

  • Palate: It is full-bodied and dense with a creamy texture, firm yet ripe tannins, and a persistent balsamic finish.
