Martell VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) is a cognac blended from old eaux-de-vie chosen from amongst the best crus in the Cognacregion. L'Or de Jean Martell is a blend of crus from the Les Borderies and Grande Champagne regions.

Tasting's Notes: Golden amber.

Bittersweet softness: lime and liquorice.

Crystallised fruit: quince, raisin and plum.

Spring undergrowth: fresh notes of oak wood (fine grain and hazelnut). Soft, mellow and complex with crystallised-fruit notes.

Martell VSOP Médaillon cognac has an ample, round body. Long finish.

5 cl shot ABK6 XO Family Celler. Amber old gold color. The nose offers notes of spices, liquorice, orange peel and even dried figs. On the palate, the exceptional aromatic power of this cognac opens with an association of hazelnut, walnut, cedar wood and then candied fruit. A great length characterizes this XO. A classic VSOP cognac, this is matured for between 8 and 12 years in a selection of Troncais and Limousin oak barrels.

Eye: The spirit is an amber colored liquid upon first glance, but once poured displays itself in more of a copper once out in the open. Tilt the glass a slow twirl and a few tilts to reveal medium-sized droplets.

Nose: When the cognac is distilled and aged, it begins to conjure the soft, luscious aroma of ripe peach. After several years in French fine-grained oak barrels, the spirit develops nutty notes and ages to produce a sweet, caramelized flavor of toasted almonds. The distillation on the lees is a complex process but it gives fruity and musky notes, with an aroma of jasmine.

Palate: The palate gives a lengthy finish.

The finish is toasted almonds, toffee, and stone fruits. A dry finish of baking spice.
