Made by infusing high-quality African cacao beans and Madagascar vanilla, it serves as a foundational ingredient for classic and modern dessert cocktails. Despite the word “crème” in its name, it contains no dairy cream; the term signifies its thick, syrupy consistency and high sugar content.
  • Alcohol by Volume (ABV): Typically 20%.
  • Flavor Profile: Intense milk or dark chocolate, sweet caramel, cream soda, and smooth vanilla notes.
  • Texture: Heavy, thick, and syrupy with high density, making it excellent for layering drinks.
Common Cocktail
  • The Grasshopper: Equal parts De Kuyper Crème de Cacao White, green crème de menthe, and heavy cream. Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass for a classic, mint-green dessert cocktail.
  • The Alexander / Brandy Alexander: Combine 1 oz gin or brandy, 1 oz De Kuyper Crème de Cacao Dark, and 1 oz heavy cream. Shake vigorously with ice, strain, and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
